Observation & Documentation
- Construction inspection for large diameter trenchless applications including slurry microtunneling in soft ground, earth pressure balance machine tunneling, open face utility tunneling, shielded pipe jacking, auger boring, pilot tube microtunneling, pipe ramming, raise bore drilling, hand-mining, and horizontal directional drilling.
- Construction inspection for deep shaft excavations in soft and hard ground including secant pile construction, deep soil mixing diaphragm walls, liner plate with ground improvements, drilled shafts, sheet piles, sunken shafts, and drill and blast.

Project Showcase
Tunnel Tex provides construction inspection for the West Harris County Regional Water Authority’s Surface Water Supply Project (SWSP) in Houston, Texas as the Owner’s on-site Inspection and Construction Management advisor. Duties involve monitoring a suite of trenchless technologies including slurry microtunneling, EPBM utility tunneling, auger boring, open face shielded tunneling, and large diameter shafts in soft ground. The SWSP consists of over 55 miles of 84” and 96” waterline installed through dense urban environments with 10 miles of tunnels of varying complexity.
