Segment B3 Tunnel

The Segment B3 tunnel featured 23,000 linear feet of 96-inch diameter water line installed by open mode tunneling with a rib and timber lagging primary liner. The project included 7 shaft site areas and crossed Harris County roads, TxDOT ROW, Union Pacific Railroad, BSNF Railroad, Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) drainage systems, and private pipelines.

Sims Bayou crossing

The Sims Bayou Crossing featured a 525 linear foot, 60-inch diameter water transmission line installed via slurry microtunneling inside an 84-inch steel casing.

Highway 290 Crossing

The Highway 290 Crossing featured a 2,390 linear foot, 84-inch diameter water transmission line installed via open mode tunneling. The project primary liner included a 132-inch rib and timber support with steel channel lagging under TxDOT right of way.

Buffalo Bayou Crossing

The Buffalo Bayou Crossing featured a 805 linear foot, 42-inch water transmission line installed via slurry microtunneling inside a 66-inch steel casing.

Central Pump Station

The Central Pump Station includes construction of a high service 136 MGD pump station, 2 – 15 MG prestressed ground storage tanks, chemical facilities, an operations building, and a maintenance building. Specific component installation includes pumps, motors, variable frequency drives, pump control ball valves, pump room traveling crane, 5kV switchgear and motor control centers, instrumentation and control, and HVAC systems. The project also includes power company coordination with installation of a transformer yard and coordination with the third party on-site generator interface.

Bear Creek Crossing

The Bear Creek Crossing featured a 370 linear foot, 84-inch diameter water transmission line installed via slurry microtunneling inside a 102-inch steel casing with secant pile ground support shafts.

Beltway 8 Crossing

The Beltway 8 crossing featured a 745 linear foot 84-inch diameter waterline installed via slurry microtunneling inside a 120-inch steel casing below a major highway. The project included 3 intermediate jacking stations.

Highway 249 Crossing

The Highway 249 Crossing featured a 960 linear foot, 84-inch diameter water transmission line installed via earth pressure balance machine tunneling while navigating a curve through overpass foundation structures under a major highway interchange. The project primary liner included a 132-inch rib and steel channel lagging.
